Grey, misty, rainy, sunny...
Cleaned stalls, threw down some hay and set things up for the evening feed.
Took a quick shower and went down to the Middle School where Cooper was participating in a wrestling tournament. I noticed that two girls were on the teams.
There were about 400 kids there and twice as many parents and it took me forever to find a parking place. Fortunately I had an umbrella in the car, as it started to rain and the wind almost turned it inside out.
Jenny's boyfriend, Scott, coaches Cooper (who did a great job today and came in 2nd in his division).
By the time I got home the horses were soaked and I put them in the barn until it stopped.
At 4 they were able to go back out and the sun was shining.
Things are starting to pop all over the gardens. What a joke! Tomorrow we could get 3-6 inches of new snow.
Just when I was getting used to seeing a little grass.
A new batch of blossoms appeared today.
Made my first batch of pizza dough in the breadmaker today. Enough for two very large pizzas.
It was easy to spread.
I topped it with caramelized onions, roasted red peppers, pepperoni and cheese.
The crust was very light and the flavor was great.
Went out to do chores when the sun started to set.
My yucca plant has almost escaped it's blanket.
Tucked the girls in and it was still bright outside.
Night all.
Go Cooper! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteWe got about 7 inches of snow between last night and this morning. Then it went up to 43 and it melted on the roads and driveway. Hope you escape the white stuff. The pizza looks delish.
A good day to be inside (looks like fun!) and a nice day to end outside with a beautiful sunset and with a good dinner--Perfect!!
ReplyDeleteThat tournament was just the thing for a rainy cold day. Congrats to all. I was sorry to hear the of the forecast for your state.
ReplyDeleteWe will send sun.

Mmmm... I want a piece of that pizza!!
ReplyDeleteUgh on the weather!
Mules... Siera is 14.1 hands, she is our tallest riding mule. Mules do come in all sizes and we prefer the smaller size. Fred, the one hubby was riding is 53" tall. Sunshine is 54". Badger was our tallest riding mule at 15 hands. Small makes for easier on and off and riding through the brush.
