Scooter

A crispy morning, but no frost.  The sunrise was gorgeous.

Wham! Bam!  Chores were done in no time.

LW and I spent part of the day by the fire and part of the day by the stove.

More good light was coming into the kitchen.

I made a huge batch of croutons for stuffing and kept a big jar full for salads.  This was an entire loaf of bread.

Then, two loaves of pumpkin bread with walnuts....
and squash.  Trying to get a head start on tomorrow.
Gary picked some of the Brussels sprouts and I will work on them and a Waldorf salad tomorrow while the turkey is roasting.  Jenny will be spending much of the afternoon here as she plans to do the turkey.  Tonight she is making a couple of pies.
Chores as usual and dark as usual.

We went down to 58 Main for a sandwich and when it was time to leave I looked over toward the bar and saw this guy that looked so familiar.  I mouthed the word Scooter and he shook his head yes and came over for some hugs.  He lived near us when Steph and Jen were in grade school and he is now 53 and a grandfather as of last week!!!!  Have not seen him in decades, but I knew it was Scooter....and he is still called that!  That made our night.
Night all.
