Lunch With Hanny

Another beautiful day that started out at 40 degrees and ended up around 65.

6:30am

After chores I went to Wegmans for a major load of groceries, as our guests will arrive on Monday for four days.  Took a shower when I got home and drove down to Brockport to pick up Hanny so we could go out to lunch at Barber's.  She had not been there since she was in college and was game for checking it out.
We talked (mostly politics) for almost 2 hours and enjoyed our turkey Reubens.
We will definately have to do this again!
I have been seriously thinking about the menu starting on Monday as Scott is a vegetarian and his wife is a vegan.  I made a big batch of bean salad and tomorrow I will pickle some beets.

The hibiscus plants we moved into the kitchen are taking up a LOT of room.  They got huge over the summer....loved the porch.
Little Wonder and I got in some nap time this afternoon.

Chores at 6:30.

Buddy's tail has reached the ground again.  It is so beautiful and grows very fast.

Got the boys tucked in and was back in the house before 7.

Passed on dinner.  Not that hungry after going out to lunch.  Shredded wheat is on my menu.

Night all.

  1. It looks like Rebel is healed. When I bring the plants in it's like a different house. My dil is vegan. She rarely comes here, so I haven't had to figure it out much. It's not easy if it's not something you do. Vegetarian is easy. You sure have a full life.
