Today we had spritzy rain off and on.
I hurried through chores as I wanted to go over to the Renaissance Equestrian Center to grab some photos of my friend Janet, who was riding in the clinic with our house guest, Lisa (the instructor). Do you remember Janet? Her horse Ronin and she were here at Skoog Farm for quite awhile. After Ronin passed, she started working with Lakota. He is owned by a friend and they are sharing him. They worked hard during their lesson and as per usual, Lisa (who is so good at giving the rider visuals) was very helpful. He was such a good boy.
When I got home, went back out to the barn to set up hay and cleaned and filled the water trough.
Janet stopped up so I could air drop my photos and videos onto her phone. Little Wonder was very happy to see her!
After that I mowed the lawn.
Jenny and Scott invited us to dinner at
for dinner so we could celebrate our birthdays.
We all love the atmosphere there and the food was great!
It was the perfect way to celebrate Gary's 81st birthday.
Home in time to put the horses in....
We had all kinds of dessert to share when I got in the house.
Check out the bag and socks Jenny brought back from Sweden....along with Swedish coffee and several other goodies.
We had cheese cake, leftover peach Betty and the restaurant sent Gary home with a piece of banana cream pie for his birthday! Many thanks to Jenny and Scott for taking such good care of us!
Night all.
PS
I can't resist posting some of the photos that were taken of Jenny and Sabine at the Viking Museum in Stockholm.
They had such a good time together!!!
Best wishes and hearty greetings Gary, you can celebrate in style, and what a feast and even goodies to bring home.
