Yay! Watching the convention and the Lt. Gov. of Georgia is encouraging Republicans to dump Trump! "If you vote for Kamala in 2024, you are not a Democrat, you are a patriot."
Meanwhile back at the ranch.
Rebel was still not right, poor guy. Spoke to the Vet tonight and will be putting on new homemade boots tomorrow...he is still on bute.
The painters were here today and I made a gazillion tomato sandwiches for lunch.
At 1:30 Dave arrived with 50 bales of hay....Coop and Finn were on the way.
As soon as they got here they stacked everything in less than 15 minutes.
Steph even got in on the act. She will be sore tomorrow!
Brian and Chip finished up all they are going to do today.
Gary will paint the front porch and the kitchen porch.
On Friday night Steph is having a party in the Studio. Everyone has to wear a kaftan and I can't wait to do a photoshoot. She did a lot of cleaning and has things pretty well set up. Lots of Twinkie Lights will be going up tomorrow.
Little Wonder had a chance to rest, but I had to keep going as Jen, Scott and the boys were joining us for dinner.
We had garbage plates. Have you ever had one?
This was Finn's. Classic. Two hot dogs, Mac salad and fries all topped with a Greek hot sauce made by our friend Chet, the Bread Man.
Mine was not a garbage plate....
Jen's was more like Finn's. She also had baked beans on hers and lots of onions.
After dinner, everyone went out to check the Studio.
Normally this goose is inside, but now it's in a cherry tree
I have a fabulous sound system out there and I suspect in will be blasting Friday night.
These three are constantly messing around.
Then Jen got in on it.
We had a little rain earlier, but then the sun came out and it was gorgeous.
Tucked the boys in at 8,
Night all.
PS
Those who spoke at the convention last night were out of this world!!!!
With a lot more people from around the world backing Kamala, surely this will have some serious assistance for her. Love the party vibes already.
ReplyDeleteNever a dull moment on the Skoog Farm! A garbage plate is new to me. We have been having moderate weather, our State Fair is going on right now so of course, some hot weather is coming in!
ReplyDeleteWonderful convention coverage and we couldn't help but cheer and applaud, too.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have young helping hands when you need them and your edible thanks to all look scrumptious!
Hope the new boots ease Rebel's discomfort.
Hugs!
The convention was inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI hope the vet can figure out what is going on with Rebel. I get it, horses are so difficult to figure out.
