A beautiful day until my new John Deere would not go forward or backward after I had mown half of the lawn.
Mid morning I ran a few errands, and when I got back to the farm started mowing while Gary worked on his tomato plants. I was half done and that was that. Called the store where I bought the lawn tractor..looked at videos to see if I good figure out what was wrong....and called Jenny, who finally got ahold of Scott....the master mechanic. They both came over and we decided to call the local John Deere store on Monday to have them pick it up and see what's going on. I have 30 days (warranty), and bought it on May 16th...so a few more to go. It might get fixed or it might get swapped out for another one. I sure hope this is going to have a happy ending.
Jenny and I picked strawberries and lettuce while Scott finished mowing the rest of the lawn with his
o-turn.
It was done in no time.
Before leaving, we loaded my big, old John Deere onto his trailer and he took it home to get it back in shape so I can use it on the pastures. My little one should be picked up by my friend Andrea in the next few days. So...I am John Deereless.
Not in the mood to make a big dinner so we had the leftover Italian sausage and corn on the cob.
Chores at 8.
Night all.
I plan to do a little "Heartland" binging tonight as season 16 was available starting today. If you are a horse nut, it is a great series.
The J D, hope it gets fixed pronto. Those strawberries are looking so tasty,.
ReplyDeleteI once made the mistake of wearing a John Deere Sweatshirt while shopping in Racine, WI. Home of Case IH. LOL. I was reminded that JD Green was not welcome!
ReplyDeleteHope your tractor gets fixed right away.
Unbelievable. It's a good thing you are still under warranty. I enjoyed the photos of my favorite dog fellow!
