It's A Jungle Out There

We've been pretty lucky with our weather.  In the 70s, not too humid and the AQI is 43.

After chores I did some weed whacking and Gary kept working on the kitchen garden .  It's gone wild!  There are 28 tomato plants and they are 4 feet tall with golf ball sized tomatoes. 23 San Marzanos and 5 cherry tomatoes.  A couple of peppers are almost ready and we are still eating our leaf lettuce.  We have one sunflower that is two feet above the porch roof.  I had to tie it to a post today.

Kevin M. stopped up to get his seed stock order and we had a chance to catch up.

He had his dog with him.  What a sweetheart.
I made some sweet potato salad for dinner....had lunch and did a little binging (another Netflix series).

Dinner was delicious.  Leftover cold chicken, the potato salad and a cucumber/tomato/chives/feta salad with cider vinegar and oil.  So fresh.
Of course Little Wonder had some of my chicken....so spoiled.
Chores at 8.  The barn was very comfortable.

Night all.

  1. How could you not share with Little Wonder! That is a lot of tomatoes, do you sell them? We are going to be very HOT this week. I have not made a sweet potato salad. It sounds good.
