I have really enjoyed all the help Leslie has given me during the past few days. Tomorrow morning (after chores) she and David will be leaving, as they make their way back to Georgia. Even tho we have known each other for a few days, it's obvious that she is very experienced around horses and is not afraid of work. Such a pleasure,
Gary came out while we were finishing up....cleaned and filled the water buckets with the assistance of Buddy.
All of us took it easy during the afternoon, as we learned more and more about the five people who have lost their lives as they ventured over two miles under the ocean. So tragic. I can't imagine even daring to do such a thing.
I roasted a chicken for dinner. Also made gravy, mashed potatoes and a simple salad. Delicious!
After sharing many more stories it was once again time to tuck in the ponies.
It's relatively cool and the sky was overcast most of the day.
Night all.
it's fortuitous that Leslie has horse experience! This visit sounds like a real success. I'm sure the stories are interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt sure sounds like it was a great visit for everyone!
ReplyDeleteStories and help with the ponies, and then the underwater tragedy. I feel for the youngest who didn't want to go but did so, according to the news, to please his Dad.
