MY Long Lost Cousin

A little bit warmer today.

After chores Gary and I did a few things around the house in preparation for the arrival of my cousin, David and his wife, Leslie.  We have not seen each other for over 60 years!
I made another one of those rhubarb "cakes" for dessert,

Gary went out to lunch with the Geezers while I finished up a few things in the house.
They arrived at 2:30 and it has been non stop chatter ever since.
Brought us all kinds of stuff including goat cheese and some delicious pepper jelly.  (Not to mention wine, crackers, three loaves of zucchini bread and ummmmmmm.....peach chutney!)
David and Leslie live in Georgia and have also lived in the Carolinas and Florida.  He was a tennis pro and together they were at The Breakers for 10 years running programs and the pro shop.  They have had decades of adventures during their tennis days and David still plays at age 76.  Leslie is a horse person and is currently helping to bring along a 5 year old thoroughbred!  So of course we had to check out the horses and gave them a tour.

David was loving all of our trees.
Jenny, Scott, Finn and Coop joined us for a pasta dinner.

So many good stories.
I snuck out to tuck in the ponies.

Before Jenny and crew left,  we took some photos.

Such a good time!  What took us so long to reconnect?
Night all.
