Post #7204 Ice on the Water Trough

 A very crispy morning!

After chores I ran a couple errands and Little Wonder could join me.  First we went to the drive thru at the Bank, then we dropped off a platter at Brenda and Al's.

Al was walking their dog and they got home while we were still there.

Little Wonder absolutely loves Brenda.
When we got home the temperature had gone up above freezing, but the water trough was frozen again.  (It's now under the shed roof nearer the hydrant, but in the shade). I took off the ice and put in more hot water.  We moved it away from the heater too soon.
It's supposed to be in the 50s for the next 7 days.
The horses spent much of the afternoon in the outdoor arena, taking in all the sunshine.

At 1:30 we had our regular Friday rehearsal and
continued practicing the playlist for our Arbor Day gig.

Gary spent the day in Hamlin painting and I was not in the mood to cook....
so we had pizza and a salad for dinner.

The sun was shining through the doorway on the west side of the house and lit up the baskets hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen.

Night all.

  1. All the pics are lovely, but the last one, with outlines against the window is stunning. Keep warm.We are now always in single Celsius numbers every morning.

  2. We had some nights of 19 degrees and the water got a skiff of ice on it too. Our forecast says nights in the 40's for a while so I think I can safely remove the long cord on our water tank.
I filled up the really big one that doesn't have a heater yesterday so I can clean out the winter one.
Our weather is to get nice for this weekend. High fire danger here because it is so dry though.
