Sunny, but crispy.
After chores I drove down to the Village to put up a sign
and picked up a few things at Weggies.
It won't be long before they close the Canal for the season.
Then it will be drained for the winter.
Back to the farm by 11.
There was not a hard frost last night so everything survived.
We still have rhubarb and a ton of
red raspberries.
At 5 we left for a Farm To Table Dinner at Kirby's Farm Market.
Judy P. went with us.
It was a fundraiser for B.E.S.T.
A very good cause......
Leslie B. was there to check.us in.
As per usual, Stacy Kirby did an outstanding job decorating the entire venue.
It was catered by Garnishes and we started out with some appetizers and music.
Everything was delicious.
Fortunately Gary felt well enough to attend.
The dinner was actually held in a hoop house and they had several sitting areas.
A long table like this is so dramatic!
It was nice to have Judy join us.
Last year Helen was visiting from Scotland and we had
our photos taken in this frame!
The Chef came out and told us about each course.
Garnishes always does a great job.
Gary stuck it out until 7:45 and we headed toward home.
The heat is on....
Night all.
Looks like a great event with good food and friends. We're having crisp days too and I love it!
