Unbelieveaballllllll!

 Nothing unusual about chores.

At 9:30 Northeast Water arrived to work on our reverse osmosis system.
We had a leak and needed to change the filters.
Fortunately, that was done in less than an hour.

Judy stopped up for some tomatoes, beans and raspberries.
It was a beautiful afternoon.

At 4:15 I drove to Spectrum to have our new phones activated.
Same numbers, still served by Verizon but almost half the cost.
Of course nothing went smoothly and I went home to try and
activate them.  The young man who waited on me was great, but he
could not get the job done and I decided to see what I could do on my own.
Fortunately he did transfer our contacts etc.
As luck would have it, I activated Gary's phone  (but it is still not
connected to the network) and could not do mine.
So, I called the magic number and was on the phone until 7:30....
still not working.  I said they could call me back as they were trying to figure out
what to do and they still have not called back.  Why me?
I am so sick of this.  You get a new phone that comes with absolutely no directions
and the people who are supposed to activate it can't get the job done.  There is
no way that anyone that is not a techie could possibly do this on their own.

Gary made a salad
and we had some pasta for dinner.
So here I sit.....waiting......waiting.....

Night all.

  1. We need phones every day, not like so many years ago when a landline was sufficient.Hope they get them all fixed and up and ringing!!

  2. Dear Lori, Meniere's Disease, back in 2006, taught me that I have little control over anything. Really all I control is my response. But oh, when technology goes wrong, I feel not only that I have not control but that I have no understanding. That's I'm totally inept. And this leaves me frustrated and feeling almost alienated from the century in which we are living. So I do understand your angst. Peace.

  3. I feel your frustration. I'm currently looking to replace my phone but don't want to have the hassles you are having. I don't want a phone I have to pay monthly for either.
My grand daughter set my phone up for me last time.
