A chilly and very dull morning.
At least it was not raining.
The front paddock is starting to dry out.
That must mean we will have heavy rain soon.
Last year at this time I was taking photos of beautiful glads...
this year it is all about zinnias. Where did all the glads go?
The trees have not completely changed color yet, but there was such strong wind today a gazillion leaves fell to the ground.
Steve and his son were here working on the barn most of the day.
The North and South sides are done (except for a couple windows) and the back
is almost finished. Today they also worked on the front door, which is now
metal and much lighter. It should not be long now.
This afternoon I left the house at 1:30 and picked up
Lori S. before heading over to Nancy B's house.
We have been getting together to sing and play.
Once we started, time flew by and it was after 5pm when we quit.
Our goal is to work on three part harmonies....different kinds of music.
The catch...we have lyrics and chords, but no charts with the notes.
Basically, we are making up the harmonies as we go along.
Because I want to remember how we sounded on our first song,
this little clip is being posted. We are going to learn a lot from this
and have a very long way to go. Don't get the idea that this is the
only type of music we are singing. You will be surprised when I
show you the list we are working on....some day in the distant future.
Everything from Pink to Kermit.
Needless to say it was too late to make dinner, so we had leftover chicken
soup and grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches.
Night all.
