Lake Ontario, The Erie Canal and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

What a day!
 Chores.

 Mowed the lawn.

Around 11:15 Ariana and I drove out to Lake Ontario to visit Carol and Topper.

 What a gorgeous day!

We had a Greek pizza for lunch (from Krony's) so delicious!!!

It does not get any better than this.....

Last year Ariana sent this blanket to Carol and Topper from Boise.

I had a chance to spend part of the afternoon at home, and met Gary at 6:30 down at the SERC for a "Summer Serenades" concert being presented by the RPO,
conducted by Ward Stare.  Jenny, Ariana and I passed out programs and greeted
so many of our friends.

 Many familiar faces!

It was estimated that there were about 500 people there.

To have this quality of entertainment in our little Town is pretty amazing.
Between Gary and the College it was pulled off with style.

Originally, this was supposed to be a Concert on The Canal, but the College generously
donated this venue and it was perfect.

Brenda Tremblay (of WXXI) and Heidi Macpherson (College President)
welcomed everyone.

Such talent.

A beautiful reception was held at the end of the concert.

The Conductor made sure he had the opportunity to meet everyone in attendance.
A very gracious man.

Such a full day!
Night all.

  1. And the conductor waltzed as he waved his baton and directed the musicians. Then he changed for the next video clip, a wonderful talented man who shared this with so many. I could watch and listen all night.

  2. Wow, you really did have a full day! Looks like a great concert. I’d find it hard to pull myself away from the de k overlooking the lake!
