Well, the temperature only went up to 89 today and the air was not so heavy.
A little more manageable outside, but inside the house it was very warm.
Gary started pulling the garlic today.
Class at 10:30.
This is Kathy's first watercolor and she is doing a great job.
It is still in progress.
Little Wonder was very happy to have Pam back in class.
Mutual admiration.
Our friend Al dropped off several wire thingies for the tomato plants last weekend and Gary picked up a few more today. Should give the plants so much more support.
The ones in the raised beds are all staked and tied.
As expected, the cabbage is going crazy and will soon be way out of the "box."
We picked some baby romaine lettuce today and gave some to Tina.
I decided to tough it out and mowed the lawn. It's so dry!
The garlic is beautiful and Gary won't have much to sell this year.
He went from 3,000 to 600 plants.
These day Lillies have been fried by the sun and they are not going to last.
At 5:30 I took a ride down to the Rec Center to see how things were set up for tonight's fireworks.
Everything seemed organized.
The Senior Association was selling cookies etc. tonight and
I bought 5 bags before leaving.
The fireworks were to start at 9:30 and by 4 these chairs were in place in front of one of the malls across from the Rec Center. This event is extremely well attended
every year....thousands!
I had chore duty when I got back to the farm.
It was coolish....
so I decided to mow one of the pastures.
A little after 9 I drove down to the Cemetery across the street from the Rec Center
where I take photos each year.
There was a major traffic jam when it was over.
Night all.
Dear Lori, your students seem so skilled at what they are doing. Have most of them studied with you for several years? What a fine teacher you must be!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the fireworks' videos. I watched full screen and it was so enjoyable as I had to miss the local fireworks last night. Thanks for the treat! Peace.
