A very crispy start to the day!
There was ice on the water trough, so I plugged in the heater.
There were more shingles on the ground that needed to be picked up...
they are so heavy!
they are so heavy!
At 1pm I went to Hanny's as a sub for her bridge group.
It felt good to be out.
She outdid herself in the food department.
All kinds of fresh fruit, veggies, cheese, ham salad and more.
We were spoiled rotten.
A great afternoon to be by the fire.
The grand finale was homemade cheesecake!
Shortly after I got home it started snowing like crazy.
Fortunately I had started a pot of chicken soup yesterday and just had to throw in some rice and fresh lemon juice. Hanny gave me some leftover ham salad (which we had on crackers) so our dinner was very simple and perfect comfort food.
The tulips are starting to fade a bit, but they are still beautiful.
Just before 6 the sun appeared and now it is very grey again.
A very crazy day weatherwize!
I think it is time for a nap.
Night all.
Night all.
The wind here was ridiculous too. We’re supposed to get more snow Saturday. I can’t believe this weather!
ReplyDeleteWe had to plug in our tank heaters again also. The days are not above freezing and the nights are in the teens. Blowing winds and snow! Yesterday was nice in the valley and out of the winds.
ReplyDeleteToday it is just plain icky cold.
