Blossoms Galore!

Another beautiful sunrise.

The girls were loving the weather today.
Sunshine, grass, 42 degrees.

So far, Big Bird has survived the winter.
Phoebe went back in the house and Little Wonder helped me with chores.

I can't believe I have another beautiful hibiscus blossom.
It looked like this in the morning...just opening up.

Two more yellow blossoms showed up in the dining room.

I worked out at Agape from 11-12.
By late in the afternoon, the sunlight was doing it's thing.
This blossom had opened up a lot more.

I decided to make a cauliflower casserole for dinner.
First, I threw 1 large onion, 3 carrots, 2 stalks of celery and a head of cauliflower in a pot of
boiling water until tender.
Drained and put in a glass container.
Made a rue, adding water (2 cups) I had reserved from the veggies along with a cup of
chicken stock.  Thickened (added about 1/2 cup milk) then threw in grated extra sharp cheddar cheese and my secret ingredient....a squirt of honey mustard.
I covered it and put it in the oven for 30 minutes.
Then, spread on two chopped hard boiled eggs, frozen peas and paprika
and put it back in uncovered for 10 more minutes.
 In the meantime...

It sure is taking a long time for this Bird of Paradise to appear.

Back to dinner....  I called Judy and invited her, then decided to make a pie.
First, I cut up two bananas...
then I added chocolate pudding and topped it with walnuts.
Put it in the frig.
 Made the salad,
grilled some of Carina's garlic and herb bread
and we were ready to eat.
 What a meal.
Different for a change.
Now Phoebe and I are going to rest.
Night all.
