...and it's going to be here for at least a week!
I woke up at 5 and could not get back to sleep,
so I was quite available to grab on few shots of the sunrise.
First I fed Sophie and Seymour.
It's a darn good thing the sun came out so the horses could catch a break from the cold.
I was feeling pretty energetic early in the day and decided to make
a big pot of ham and cabbage soup.
By 2 in the afternoon it was all about napping and I finished the book I have been reading.
It felt so good not to have any commitments.
A picture of a messy bowl, but the soup tasted great!
Time for a hot shower, jams and the fire.
Night all.
One good thing this started after Santa had paid a visit. Guess it is freezing, as in Antarctica, one person said " down here there is COLD, and VERY COLD, nothing else" we had a cold start to the day here for us ,about 7 Celsius,( 45F ) and further south about 3 Celsius.( 37F), not coldfor you at all, For New Zealand, that is really quite cold for December, how do the doggies manage to survive out there? Have a warm time inside.Yummy soup.
ReplyDeleteLove the header picture. Gonna be cold here too for the week. A fire sounds good.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful evening. I often am up at 4...Mr. Morris demands it. I do love early mornings.
ReplyDeleteYes the cold is here.
