Speaking of night....did you see the moon before you went to bed last night?
I sure appreciated seeing the sun this morning....
although it was a pretty crispy start to the day.
Company tonight, so after chores I started preparing for a German dinner.
Sweet and sour red cabbage was on deck first.
Next...
German
potato
salad.
Last, fried apples and onions.
Then, I parboiled the knockwurst and smoked bratwurst so Gary could throw it on the grill for a few minutes.
Evening chores had to be done a little early.
All the girls were loaded with mud.
Two of my favorite photos from today....
looking through Berlin's stall.
Mary and Adam arrived at 6 and dinner was served.
So nice to finally get them here for dinner!
At 8 we headed down to the C & S Saloon for some music.
Miles, Jack, Fred and Scott put together an opening band before the 9 pm performance by
Master Theives. They were great and had only known about this gig for a couple of weeks.
The place was packed with Brockport HS graduates....many were my students.
A very familiar group.
It was a real pleasure to watch Scott perform.
Something different. We had a great time.
Night all.
PS
Another gorgeous moon tonight.

Mine were mudballs yesterday as well - but it means spring is on the way!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun night! The food looks delicious, reminded me of the things my German Grandma used to make.
ReplyDeleteMine were so muddy that I had to wash their feet off with a hose and then put them in the round pen so the sand could dry them out before our farrier came.
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible meal you made, I was ready to try and grab a dish through the monitor.
Oh to answer your question? I have too many animals. But thankfully the old ones can stay until the end of their lives and we can eat our cattle.
