What a beautiful start to the day.
Fed the girls, cleaned stalls and set everything up for tonight.
They must have taken all the corn down when I was not looking yesterday as the fields were being worked up today.
Late morning the Village DPW delivered a dump truck of leaves. Every year they do this so Gary can put them on the gardens after he plants the garlic. I imagine we will get one more load.
I actually took the time to make some applesauce this afternoon.
At 4, Mary picked me up and we knocked on some doors out in this neck of the woods.
All kinds of people were home to greet us.
I can't believe how long we have been working on this campaign. Started back in April.
Going door to door as a team has been a lot more fun than soloing.
Our opponents are in an attack mode and are trying to put out some pretty interesting information.
If they would just do their homework, it would be real nice.
Karen was starting chores when we got back to the farm.
We are holding a rally on Sunday, and Gary is gathering some of his broom corn for us to use as decorations. We will be holding it in the barn by the local Farmer's Museum.
My appetite has returned so we went out tonight.
Had to stop at Wegmans on the way home.
Now all I want to do is sit by the fire.
Night all.
Glad you're feeling better! What a weird little flu this is. Isn't this the third time we've been sick with the same thing at the same time? The worst was that awful flu around New Year's!
ReplyDeleteI'm relieved for you that it'll be over next week! You've put a lot into it and I'm confident you'll win. Can't imagine the opposition could be more community-minded than you. Either way, I hope you can relax by the fire with some wine Tuesday night! You've earned it!
Very nice and beautiful blog.
