Whewwwwww.

More rain last night and plenty of mugginess this morning.
Did not get as hot as expected tho....and there was a very good breeze.

After chores Karen attacked some of the weeds around the paddock and barns.  Perfect growing weather lately.
The deer are leaving our north garden alone now and the beans are started to take off...so are the beets.
Seeing that we still had a lot of green beans in the freezer, I decided to defrost several bags....
 sauteed onions with bacon....
and turned it into a BBQ.
So delicious!

I finally knuckled under and started reading again.  My Kindle is back in gear now that I have finished watching the last episode of the last series we were watching on Netflix.

Around 2:30 Ariana called and was ready to go to Tina and Roger's pool for a cool down.
The water temperature was 86 and it felt great!
Today she was putting the finishing touches on her Government class assignments that she has been taking online (so she only needs to take 4 courses in September...her Senior year).  Smart girl.

I'm a real fan of violets and greens....

 Tina's gardens were loaded.

How's that for a barn?  Check out that window and the window box.
Dream and Sandman are living in style.

We left a little before 4.
Just noticed that Gary added a fish to one of our garden sculptures.

Stopped at Mary's (campaign partner) on my way to the Welcome Center.
She has (thanks to her husband) one of the best veggie gardens I have ever seen in the village!

 Everything is growing like crazy!

At 5pm, "Sunday at the Canal" was presenting a Broadway Bonanza
with Liz Banner (High School music teacher) and three incredible
college students who got together for this performance.
All had very strong and beautiful voices.

This was their finale.

 Such a class act.

Ariana went for a run (from Jenny's) and I recognized her as she passed by on the other side of the Canal.  She caught the last song and was grateful for the ride home.  Muggggeeeee.

At 6:15, the sky looked like this.
Thank you Karen, for doing evening chores!
Night all.

PS
When it's hot and muggy, nothing tastes better than some nice cold watermelon.

  3. Mom likes good music. We are rainy and muggy here which is very unusual. Mom said it reminds her of NJ

  4. The lawn tractor does a much better job at the mowing than a brush hog will do, believe me, there is a big difference. The tractor and brush hog does save time though.
