Aaaahhhhhh. Not so much humidity this morning.
Right after chores I started mowing and did not stop until 11:45.
Grass paddock number 1.
Grass paddock number 2.
Of course the girls wanted to keep me company.
After mowing half of the big pasture I quit...
and will finish the rest tomorrow.
By the way, we do not have a tractor and bush hog....this is done with a dinky 42 inch lawn tractor.
Had a little burst of energy and made sweet potato salad
and bean salad.
Heated up the bbqued green beans from yesterday, and that was dinner.
Had the girls tucked in by 7:30. Quite a bit cooler than it was last night at this time.
They can't wait to get in their stalls. This old barn is such a peaceful place.
Time to take a shower and get back to my book.
Night all.
Glad you cooled off. We're in the middle of a heat wave here. 93 and miserable. The paddocks look great. I love fresh mowed grass.
ReplyDeleteOh yes the weather is nice and cool now because we cut hay....you are welcome:) and then it rained again:) Looks good mowed. Hug B
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you did that mowing with a 42" lawn tractor!! Even our zero turn lawn mower (we have about 5 acres of various yards we mow with it) has a 60" mowing deck. For mowing the pastures we have the 16' batwing Bushhog pulled by the 90hp 4WD tractor and the 10' Bushhog pulled by the 60hp tractor. Jason is rarely brand loyal when it comes to equipment but he is a fan of Bushhog brand mowers for the pastures. Even with that equipment Jason has several days into each mowing of farm, he's psyching himself up to start mowing again next week.
