Better Than Expected

Voila!

The "pond" in the back pasture has pretty much disappeared.

 Class at 10:30.

Today I drove over to Shamra's (after lunch) to pick up 5 dozen perfect eggs and had an opportunity to meet her chickens.  What a beautiful set up.  The walls were constructed with straw for insulation and the sides, covered with cement.  I love their front porch and the yard is well protected and of decent size.
 24 beautiful chickens...
that produce about a dozen eggs each day.
 I've never seen such a big rooster....ever.

Gary spent part of the day stripping wallpaper at Jen's, I made vegetarian chili and cornbread for dinner.

 Delish!

It was still nice and bright when I went out to do chores, but it felt very chilly.
Got the girls tucked in by 6:45.

A beautiful sunset.
Night all.

  5. Beautiful sunset shots! You should get a few hens. They are a hoot and you'd have fresh eggs to boot!
