Another golden sunrise to warm up a frigid start to the day.
It was nice not having to shovel for the past 48 hours.
The girls picked out the warmest spot to have their breakfast.
Took a quick shower and drove down to the village for a chorus rehearsal.
We still have a lot of music to learn.
Another afternoon of hibernating by the fire.
It started snowing like crazy by 3, but the temperature was still around 20 (heatwave).
Put the girls in a little early.
Gary had a board meeting in Albion tonight. I sure hope the weather does not get any worse... it's quite a drive.
So, I did not have to make a regular dinner. Hungry for a repeat of last nights salad and an organic hot dog with banana peppers. Anything goes.... so I tuned into Netflix and a movie.
16 degrees and plunging. The next two days will have a high of 5 with a windchill as low as -30.
What a winter!!!!
I think spring is just a figment of my imagination.
Night all.
We're a little bit colder than you, but they tell us only one more day (for now) of this, then it'll be back up into the 20s and 30s, which will indeed seem like a heat wave.
ReplyDeleteI truly cannot imagine having that much snow round your home, It always seems to me like a fairy wonderland, but guess when it all thaws there will be mud for the girls!!! Lovely morning views.
ReplyDeleteIt is so strange the way you are getting hammered with freezing weather and snow while we can't get any winter at all -- no snow pack, no rain, hardly any frost. It's like spring started in January (and that's just wrong). Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteFabulous sky!

More beautiful morning photos! Try to stay warm, and hope Gary made it back safely.
ReplyDeleteLove those last few shots of the girls covered with light snow.
ReplyDeleteIt is supposed to get warm on Saturday...like in the upper 20's.
ReplyDeleteThen back to frigid.
But sooner or later, we have to start warming up! Heck, we have much more sunlight each day!
I have enjoyed your last few posts, Lori! Your cold sunrises are beautiful, especially where they tint the snow with gold. And I love your horses! I've always been scared of them, but I admire their beauty! I think horses are the most beautiful living creatures. Have a good one!
ReplyDeleteBrrr. Probably very little comfort to you, but it's also 'record' cold here in NC (14). But no snow to contend with. . . Beaming you extra warmth xx
