It Feels Like I'm in Solitary....

Got some snow last night and the wind never stopped blowing (like crazy) all day.  Had to feel like the single digits and I felt sorry for the girls.  They had hay outside and in the indoor, just in case they were smart enough to get out of the weather.

Phoebe and Gucci joined me when I went out to the barn.
After that, I took a very hot shower so my head could feel cleared out for a few hours.  Then it was back to the same old same old.

For the third day in a row I made a bowl of oranges/bananas/grapes....my new favorite thing.

Then it was the fire, cough drops, Vicks and more vegging.  I spent part of yesterday and today watching an entire tv series (13 episode season) that I somehow had missed.  Called "Reckless" and I really enjoyed it.  Two attorneys in Charleston, SC.  A nice distraction for someone who is bored out of their mind!
Phoebe and Gucci kept me company.  The groomer did a beautiful job with them yesterday and they smell so good.

It's a good thing Gary has been able to help me with chores.  It has cut my time in half.
Tucked the girls in at 5.  Felt good in the barn.

No pictures of dinner.
Leftover red lentil soup and an organic chicken/apple sausage with fried onions on a roll.  Could not handle the soup, but the sandwich tasted pretty good.
Now for more of the same....
Night all.

PS
Here's another piece of art you will see at the opening on Saturday.

  1. The fruit combo was a special treat for the holidays and birthday dinners, when I was growing up. My Dad always had to have homemade whip cream to top the fruit. Hope you are feeling better. The cure will be the Kentucky bourbon toddy.

  2. Sounds like you're not feeling much better but you have had this long enough. The girls look very cute with their grooming. Feel better.

  3. I think winter weather nasties are supposed to come a callin' tonight and through the weekend. Subzero temps following that.
According to the CDC the flu season has reached epidemic proportions this year...yikes, I hope you start feeling better quite soon.

  5. I hate that you have been so sick with this for so long, but that seems to be the way this treats everybody. It is miserable enough hearing about others' experiences with it, I hope I don't have to find out for myself!
