Today's Bounty

The heat returned today...almost hit 80 degrees.
 My camera was on vacation.
 Chores per usual.

Judy came up with her grandson (Ben) so I could give her some spinach, lettuce, cucumbers and lots of rhubarb.
By late morning I was ready for a trike ride.  Decided to go in the direction of the three hills....it's getting easier and easier.

 Took a right turn...
 and headed home.

Gary had a meeting tonight.  Decided to make a veggie dinner for Karen and me so I went back out to the garden.

Around 4 I decided to bake a couple loaves of zucchini bread...have to teach Gary how to do this so we can freeze a lot for later.
We had sauteed yellow squash, zucchini and onions topped with Pecorino Romano cheese, roasted beets dipped in sour cream and a salad.  Those beets were spectacular.
Had our first meeting about the Senior Center tonight.  Going to be busy.
Night all.

  1. Lori, for some reason your blog isn't appearing in my reading list. I happened to see the thumbnail, though. Hmmm.
Hope the Senior Center meeting went well. So important.

  2. Wow what a day! Yesterday our garden haul was incredible.
A neighbor asked a few other neighbors to help pick her large garden while she is gone for a week, we hit the jackpot!
