An Old Fashioned 4th of July

The fireworks went off last night in this neck of the woods.

Today was all about celebrating at the Morgan-Manning House

There was popcorn, a quilt raffle, the usual lunch menu and lots of great music.

I have never seen this many people here...must have been the perfect weather conditions.
The entertainment started with a mixed chorus put together by Liz Banner (music teacher at the high school).  It included high school students, graduates and community members.  4 people from our chorus participated.

Next on the agenda was a gigantic band brought together by Shawn Halquist (band director at our high school).  It included current and past students, retired faculty, other music teachers, community members and more.

Last on the program was the Brockport Big Band, straight off their gig at the Rochester International Jazz Fest.

 Hey Tony!!!!
Unfortunately I was not there for the entire event, so I was unable to get pictures of
the Kiddie Parade, the Chorus or the Cake Walk.
This little cutie deserved a prize!
I did get to see an awful lot of my buds.

And I could not pass up a hot dog or two...
