You know the drill....it's not quite gone yet.
A pretty cold morning...in the high 20s.
Mary Pat was ready to leave for Maryland when I went out to do chores.
Loved having her here. Did I ever tell you that she was Jenny's first grade teacher?
Got down to business in the barn. Karen and I were on automatic pilot.
Berlin did not seem worse today (no meds) and the hives were pretty much gone from her face.
The sun was out, but nothing like yesterday.
Our cats and dogs are great buddies.
By 11am I was down at A Different Path Gallery to start setting up our show, which opens a week from tomorrow.
We are so fortunate to have a real gallery in our little village.
This is Kathy, she and her husband are the owners.
Almost all of my students were able to be there to help with the hanging.
Kathy is an absolute pro and I had a great time working with her. Lots of laughs along the way.
I had my students bring whatever they wanted and we hung as many pieces as possible. This venue really shows off their work.
Many years ago they made quilt squares and it was put together by Connie B.. Since that time (because it says Skoog Farm Workshop in the center square) it has become our "logo" and appears at all our shows.
By tomorrow we should have it finished with all the pieces labeled. I could not be happier with the way it has turned out so far.
Home around 3:30 and went out to do chores at 6. Pretty chilly tonight...not sure if it even hit 40 today. We are supposed to get rain and up in the low 50s tomorrow. That should wipe out the rest of our snow.
No glorious sunset this evening.
No cooking either. I took Gary out to dinner.
Night all.
You even make art with your colorful lead ropes in the barn :)) Love it .
ReplyDeleteWhat a great venue, super quilt ( that took my fancy straight away) and those bowls, I remember doing paper mache about aged 11!!! Nothing as stunning as those, our primary school probably used newspaper finished with plain brown paper...real artist's talents in all. Cheers, Jean.
ReplyDeleteLove the quilt! The show is sure to be a success with all the talented artist's work showcased.
