Shortly after I went out to the barn, it turned from pouring rain to bright sunshine and VERY windy.
Eventually the girls got in some pasture time.
Berlin still has hives, but not as bad as before. I'm going to attempt to wean her off the meds and see if her body will kick in on it's own.
This afternoon I went to History Club. Had to detour as the wind had knocked down a tree near the road.
From there I went to First Friday.
This time they tried something different....chili and cornbread.
There was a slide show from the archives....excellent. In 1979 the Special Olympics were held at SUNY Brockport. Gary was in charge of thousands of volunteers and I headed up the chaperone assistants (one for each participant). What an emotional event. It was loaded with celebrity types...the Kennedys, Ali, Phil Donahue, Christopher Reeves, and many more. We had lunch with Hank Aaron.
This afternoon a gigantic tree fell on a friend's house.
Their neighbor saw the whole thing and knocked on their door to see if they were alright. They did not even realize it had happened.
When I got home, there were a lot of branches down from our willow tree. What else is new????
Clean up time tomorrow.
Tucked the girls in and picked the big pasture.
Totally dark by the time I headed back to the house.
We will really see the difference on Sunday night.
Over and out....
Night all.
Daylight saving, a misnomer if ever there was one, how can daylight be saved, but lovely at the start of the season, more hours later of sunshine when work is done!!! One huge tree, big winds in Montreal too, Stay safe. Greetings from Jean.
