Five Little Piggies....

It rained last night and was pouring when I went out to the barn this morning.  What to do with the horses...not a day for the pasture.  So, Karen and I kicked them out while we cleaned the barn.  Abbe, Berlin and Moon were under the overhang and we put Maggie and Angel in the indoor with hay nets and water.

Then, we rigged a way for the Florida Babes to go from the indoor to the outdoor by constructing a shoot.  See how wet the ring is?  One of the girls rolled as soon as she got out there.  Totally soaked and muddy.

I had to go to the dentist this afternoon...he had my mouth open so long my jaw ached.  On the way home I approached our farm from a different direction and had to pull off the road to grab a couple shots from my car.
We are always going North to Brockport and seldom come home this way.
By then it was sputtering and the girls spent a short time in the pasture.

I let Angel and Maggie have the front paddock for awhile...

They wandered all over the place.
Did I tell you that the temperature reached 67 today?  And that we could have wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour tonight?  I can't wait.  Who knows, maybe we will lose power.

Simple dinner...
salad and pasta with our garden sauce.

Time to put on some pjs.
Night all.

Today It's All About The Sunset...

Although it started out in the 30s this morning, we ended up in the mid-50s.
Off came the blankets after I got home from chorus.
We had a very good rehearsal.
Picked apples for some friends.  That tree just keeps on giving us bushel after bushel and they are all organic.
Of course all the girls had to roll their brains out this afternoon.

And guess who started popping out some hives this morning...so far not as bad as usual, and she had her 2 dex dose with breakfast.  What the heck.  Tonight I gave her the antihistamines (which she has not gotten in over a week) and we shall see if they make a difference.

At 5 we went into Brockport to attend calling hours for a family friend.
The sky was sending a message as we were leaving.

The ponies were ready for dinner when we got home.

Ours was pretty simple.  Thawed out some leek soup and had a PB&J sandwich on the side.
Night all.

Where Have all the Flowers Gone?

Seeing that it was 25 degrees this morning, every posie except for a couple sunflowers, bit the dust.
We had a very major frost.

Even tho the sun came out there was still a chill in the air.
Too cold to heat the studio, so class was in the house and I forgot to take pictures.
Tina brought back all of the student work from our show in Albion.

Gary had an appointment in Rochester this afternoon, so I met Finn and Coop after school.  Their house is ready for Halloween.

While I was there I sauteed up some peppers for Jen to freeze.

Switched pastures when I got home and tucked the girls in around 6.

 Dinner was delish.
Grilled chicken, sweet potatoes, roasted beets and a pear salad.
Night all.
