Cool Jazz.....

After I posted last night, I finally got a sharper picture of the moon.
Seymour and Sophie were out on the back porch taking it all in.

This morning I went out a little early so I could get back in the house to serve our guests breakfast.

 "Where's the food Mom?"
Got back just in time to put together some Greek yogurt with peaches and almonds.  Nothing fancy, but nice and fresh tasting.  Forgot to take a picture.

Barb and Mike were ready to leave by 8:30.

Back to the barn to finish chores and then went over to the grooming room to do a little shredding.  Curious Abbe was there to investigate and keep me company.

 She is such a puppy.

We have some honey bees who have infiltrated a piece of sculpture.  Yesterday there were hundreds of them...today not so many.

At 9 we had a hay delivery for Karen.

 Second cutting grass....it's beautiful.

Read and took a nap this afternoon.

Summer Serenades tonight...The Bob Sneider Trio

They were very impressed with the acoustics in this venue and the audience was very impressed with them.

At the last minute I invited Roger and Tina to come back to the farm for leftover leek soup and a salad.  They said yes and I went home early to prepare.
Got things started and set the table before I let the girls out and picked their stalls.

 Finished just in time.

The salad...tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers and onion....all from out garden today.  Some nice vinegar and oil topped with gorganzola cheese.
They picked up a fresh loaf of bread at Weggies....perfect...
and I forgot (once again) to take a picture of the soup.  I posted one a couple of nights ago.
Yep.  I'm ready....
Night all.
