The horse is my favorite animal after a dog. I love both but always thought of horses more as a work animal like the old farmers used to plow fields and pull wagons loaded with hay that was forked on by young men and boys. I also liked how a team of horses would walk down a row of corn shocks and stop long enough for those of us following, to take the ears of corn off the stalks, shuck the corn on the spot and toss the ear of corn into the wagon. Somehow the horses knew when we were done with that particular shock and would move on to the next one, stop and wait while the whole process was repeated.
Sweet face
