More First Cutting Today...

Not quite as hot as it was yesterday, but my two girls still wanted to stay in the run-in....
while Moon went out for some grass.
Ted S. brought over 100 bales of hay at 8:30, so I think we are set until the 2nd cutting is available.

At 9 Lorrie and Moon did some ground work with Elizabeth.

I got in a little mowing before class started at 10:30

Madonna took this photograph with her phone and is going to turn it into a colored pencil drawing.  I just love the composition and color.

Tina did this pastel drawing some time ago.  Rediscovered it today while we were looking for a missing project.  Sweet!

Sandy is starting a new drawing.

After class we went out to the garden and everyone picked spinach.
Ate lunch and continued mowing.  Way out back there are a couple of huge old wild cherry trees.  I stood on the lawn tractor so I could reach some.  Cherries are my weakness.

Evening chores a little after 5.

Dinner was leftovers from last night and it tasted just great the second time around.
Night all.

  1. Your own cherries, what a bonus. And the shadows, lovely. Cheers from Jean.

  2. Funny, as soon as I saw the picture of the cherries my saliva started running; my mind envisioned the tartness of the wild cherries!

  3. Cherries are my favorite fruit as well. Not sure about you standing on the tractor to reach them, though. Be careful!
