Hi Ho Silver....

Good Morning Abbe....how did you sleep last night?

After chores I went to Wegmans (I love it when the trees are in full bloom) and Country Max.
Lorrie came over a 1:30 so we could try out the surcingle she got at the Swap and Shop last Saturday.
It's quite different from mine, but is all leather and eventually we got things sorted out and had a great time.
I love working from the middle with long lines and she responded well.

When that was done, I actually rode Berlin.  A perfect angel...lounged herself for a few minutes before I got on.  It's only the third time she has been ridden since before my knee surgery last May. She sure does not look 29.  I asked the vet how she felt about me riding her with her back so sunken and was told to take it easy and go for it as it would help her core.

She did not show any signs of discomfort.
I love this girl.

Our weeping crabapple trees are ready to pop.

I had visions of crashing before chores, but by the time I got in the house it was 4:30 and needed to make some sauce for dinner.

Got that done and did chores.
Yep...the body language.  You know why.

Set up the porch so we can start eating out there.

We just can't seem to go very long without having pasta.
I think Saint Tim would eat this salad if he had some Ranch Dressing.
Night all.

  1. That's very nice that you can still ride her a bit at that age - I had to stop riding Noble at about 27 because he told me he was no longer comfortable with it.

  5. Berlin looks like a very happy girl. How nice that you can still ride her. I know Jackson would love to be ridden but half the time, the poor guy can't even walk with no one on his back.

  9. Your pictures are beautiful! I am a freshman in college and I found your blog just by looking around, but I thank you for posting such a great story using pictures. I live on a farm with my own horses and your blog made me even more excited for the summer when I will be able to go home and see them! Thanks for sharing!
