Come On!

No beautiful sunrise to post this morning....just grey.
After it rained last night, the temperature went way down and all the wet spots were more like a skating rink.  So, I thought I would try feeding the girls under the shed roof and put out four piles of hay.  It was ok until Moon started moving around.

She managed to get Berlin and Abbe out of the area, so I babysat until things got squared away.
After all, it was the first time and I couldn't expect smooth sailing.  Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Class today.
Check out these two drawings by Tina.
Can you see the changes she made in the second one?

Sally finished up her preliminary drawing and will be ready to get into it next time.

Connie is making progress in the iris department.

My afternoon was spent reading by the fire, taking a nap and figuring out how to put music back on my Journal.  Listening to Eva Cassidy reminded me of how much I missed it.
I REALIZE THAT SOME OF YOU DON'T LIKE MUSIC ON BLOGS, SO MAKE SURE YOU HIT THE STOP BUTTON IF YOU PREFER NOT TO LISTEN.  YOU ALSO HAVE THE OPTION OF SELECTING ANY SONG ON THE LIST AND DON'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR THEM TO PLAY IN ORDER.
I would love some recommendations from you music lovers.

Sophie goes in and out all day.  What a loving kitty.
I had a surprise visit from my friend Janice M. today.  Her girls are back to laying eggs and they are perfect!  What a sweet gift.

We had a tiny bit of sun today and the wind went into high gear.

Gary watched the boys and I started dinner before going out to do evening chores.
I sure appreciate that way things are working out with Moon.

 She fits right in.
Can't wait to take the blankets off these girls.

Dinner was open faced sloppy joes on toast, roasted potatoes and coleslaw.  Delish.

Now I have a question for Annette and Stephen Andrew.  When Gary went to the library to get "The Secret Keeper" there were several books with the same name.  Is this the one that you both recommended?

Night all.

  1. Hooray, you did it!! Occasionally, even I can hear my music too...odd huh? Oh well, don't look a gift horse in the mouth right? Over the Rainbow is just beautiful...*sigh* After the rough several past days we've had, I enjoyed this soothing rendition so, so much. Thank you!

Your spotted horse looks like one of the horses the lady I babysit for has, except yours has brown spots instead of black :)

Looks like Moon is becoming part of the herd. My boys will be moving in with two other horses next month it will be interesting to watch the herd dynamics change

  7. YAY much more hair on those dogs in her drawing and I so adore it! Jealous of someone that can do that though! She does need a naked one in there tho - just sayin! Yummy, farm fresh eggs, doesn't get any better.

  8. Beautiful work from your class Lori! Yes you could see the add strokes in the dog picture, and I really enjoyed the iris'.
I knew you had music on your blog but didn't realize it had stopped. I guess when you can't hear something you don't think about it. Eva Cassidy is one of my faves for sure. Let me know how you manage with re-installing the music.
    All the best!
