After chores I picked all the pastures....that took awhile.
As per usual, Sidney followed me.
The Sunday Stills Challenge was textures. These two did not fit in as I decided to go with a Holiday theme. (See post below)
Spent much of the afternoon sorting out stacks of papers and filing them. Also watched a movie.
Had to do chores a little early as we had our last chorus performance tonight.
When I got out to the paddock it was hailing and then it turned to heavy rain. I'm sure the girls were happy to get in their stalls.
Took a quick shower and we were off to The Senator's Mansion in Churchville.
For the past several years we have been the entertainment at the Central School District Holiday Party for retired faculty.
Greg did a little warm up before we started.
Santa was there...so was Bonnie!
We usually warm up in the "mansion" part...It was decorated to the hilt.
Our Director was very pleased with our performance and we were home by 7:30...
verrrrryyyy hungry after seeing all that food. Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches with chips and fruit. Totally satisfied and ready to relax.
Night all.
Still raining here too.
ReplyDeleteThose decorations were beautiful. Looks like you all had a great time.
Food, decorations galore, music, entertainment, something for everyone, even the girls, hay in the warm barn. Greetings from Jean
ReplyDeleteYou sure keep busy! The horses look nice and comfy in their stalls.
ReplyDeleteWhat a rich, full life you have.
ReplyDeleteThe decorations at the mansion are stunning! Wow!
ReplyDeleteDespite the cold rain (and hail) your pictures are all warm and inviting!
What a busy day- I don't know how you do it! The mansion photos are beautiful. And you remind me that we have to pick the pasture while the ground is still not frozen this week. Rain and more rain, but at least it's not snow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful occasion and next time hold a spot for us. Loved the music on the video...the Xmas tree and decorations spectacular!

Lori, Love the picture of your place from the pasture! Your textures were fun and I love the shots from your performance. Everyone looks like they were having great fun. Am sure the girls were very happy to be tucked into their warm and cozy stalls!
ReplyDeleteI love the distance view of your barns. And the melon looks so good right now :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the festive decorations. Maybe one day when my house is done I'll be able to go overboard. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my husband last night about your drastic weather changes... warm one day, snowing the next, rain... I couldn't do it especially the rain. Snow and cold aren't so bad. At least it is dependable and one can plan. :) Just wish winter was about one month shorter.
I guess its raining joy and celebrations! Very interesting photographs!
ReplyDeleteCheers )
love the barns, we don't get a lot of them here.
