It was grey all day.
Gary helped me with chores and was off to Java.
Sally, Judy and I went into the Rochester Public Market.
The place was packed!
Hey Roger....the guys who made the pasta you brought last night were there. We told them how much we enjoyed their products.
You can get anything at the market....from fish, to fresh milk, to baked goods, veggies and fruit.
It was wall to wall in the bakery and the people were spilling outside.
I did not buy any bread today. We have many homemade loaves at home.
So here's what I got. 2 baskets of oranges/$5 * 1 basket of pears/$2 *
2 bunches of green onions/$1 * 1 basket of apples/$3 * 1 bunch of asparagus/$1
1 basket of red peppers $2 * 10# onions/$3 * 5# carrots $3
5 donuts/$1.50 * big basket of pesticide free tomatoes $6
(we split the oranges and tomatoes 3 ways)
Dropped off a basket of goodies to Jen on my way to drumming.
There were so many people there today. At least 5 or 6 students along with the regulars.
Everywhere I went, the forsythia were in full, brilliant bloom.
Earlyish dinner.
Finished off the pasta from last night.
I built had started a fire when I got home. Sitting in front of it made me want to take a nap.
Put the girls in for the night....
and am ready to take a snooze....ha ha....before I go to bed for the night.
Night all.
Grey here today too, think it's going to cool off a bit and rain tomorrow. Love all your goodies and those tomatoes look wonderful. We've got lots of color starting around here too. The daffodils, crocuses and forsythia always come in first. It's mice to see something besides brown, feels like Spring!
ReplyDeleteThe Forsythia is beautiful... as were the veggies. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI would have a great time at that market!!

Hey there....just stopping by to see the always beautiful sights through your photographs! And i ALWAYS love your dinners! wow. have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteWe had a grey morning as well with a little bit snow. It cleared later and got about +26*. I hear rumors that Spring is coming! :) The Market looks fun. Is the produce shipped in and sold by locals? There can't be any of that growing in your area now, is there? A fire sounds good...
ReplyDeleteWhoah - the forsythia and daffodils are blooming already, without us? Bet you are enjoying that early spring weather. Love those great-priced veggies at the market. Looks like THE place to be on a Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting to tell you how beautiful your header is.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness the out door market looks like such a fun place.
