Gary went down to Java at 7....Jill and I did chores.
It was supposed to be in the 20s last night, but it didn't happen.
The water trough was not frozen and the sky was gorgeous.
Wham...Bam. We finished chores quickly.
The sun was shining in the kitchen when I got back to the house.
Signs of Christmas were all over the place.
Who has been eating Judy's fudge????
And what about the cookies?
Over in Scotland, my friend Helen (and her crafty friends) have been creating many Gingerbread Houses. She sent photos...I've never tried to make one.

We'll have to put some of Sally's pears in the salad tonight.
The view out the kitchen window looked nothing like December 20th.
Sidney came in to keep me company.
Class started at 1:30. Look what appeared.
Tina brought her Haffie cookies....
Donna made a banana bread....
and Judy brought these outrageous pastry thingies (I could eat the whole box full).
So we did a couple of taste tests and I made some special coffee.
progress everywhere....
Look what Sara sent me from Kentucky! I love it....Thank you so much! Those blankets reminded her of our Northern horses....Abbe perhaps.
I still had some sauce left, and decided to make a pizza. Did not have any onions so I sauteed up some leeks and an orange pepper. Spread out the dough and went out to do chores.
Goodnight ponies.
By the time I got back in, the dough had risen and I added the sauce, peppers, leeks and some cheese.
Made a quick salad....
and voila! The pizza was ready just in time for Gary to get back from painting. Also invited Madonna...she has not been here to dinner for a long time. Mangiare.....
Yes, it was delish.
Madonna brought flowers. Just in time for the holidays.
Milder weather is on the way.
Night all.

Love your pictures. It's hard to pick a favorite. It doesn't look like Dec. 20 there. It's been warm here in NS too.
ReplyDeleteOh great. I've been good all day, and now I have to have a snack. A major snack.
ReplyDeleteI'll take a couple of those pastry thingies, a coffee with whipped cream, a slice of pizza and a salad. ...maybe I should reverse the order.
ReplyDeleteI love the artwork. I think I would really enjoy taking your art class. I'm not an artist, but it would be fun to learn... and I think listening to the conversation would be even better. I hope you get a bigger group after the holidays. You seem to have so much fun with it.
ReplyDeleteI want pizza next time we come to visit! :-D

Merry Christmas :-).
Hickory sent Paige a brown one :-D.
I am not sure I told you how much I like your header. Wonderful idea. All the photos were wonderful - but I just loved the peppermints! It jumped right out. Simple and perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Lori! Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
