62 DEGREES....

When I walked out the kitchen door this morning, I heard a cat and looked up.  There was Seymour on the roof.  Fortunately he found his way down on the other side of the house and followed me out to the barn.

 I must have 10,000 sky shots.....maybe more.
I did not feel as off as I did yesterday at this time.  Hopefully my adjustment period is almost over.
The skies were sunny off and on today.

When I got back in the house I noticed that Jill's Bird of Paradise had made his entrance.... sooner than I expected.
So far the conditions must be alright.

 Drama in the making.

Speaking of making....I was in the mood to put together some vegetarian Minestrone.  Looked in the fridge and pantry to see what was available.
First I filled a big pot with a few cups of water and a freezer bag of our garden sauce.  Then, I threw in onion, lots of cabbage, and a couple of carrots.  Once that developed some body, added black beans, garbanzos and some frozen green beans (that's all I had).  Let it cook for a little while and turned off the heat.

At 2 Gar and I had a meeting at the personal office (where I used to teach).  There are all kinds of changes coming down the pike regarding our health insurance.  Have a few more days to decide which direction to go in.

Jill came over at 3 so we could go riding.

Of course Abbe was included, and joined us in the arena.
Ignore the orange hat I put over my hard hat.  Thought we were going out back and it's bow hunting season.  Anyway, once again a rope was put on Abbe's halter and we did a little ponying.  She was great, but I could not get her to trot.  Next time.
I don't know what I did to get her here, but Berlin is such a sweet girl.  She stood there while I put down 4 ground poles.  Abbe just gave Jill and I the look while we continued to ride.
When we finish riding, we like to do some ground work with all three girls.  It's fun and relaxing.

Ironically (as she was free) Abbe went straight over to the grooming room to make sure she could go in with us while we untacked and did some quick brushing.

I had to be at a meeting at 5pm for next year's duck derby.  By 7 I got up and left.  Too long and at the wrong time for me.  Fortunately Jill did chores.
Put a little pasta in the soup and topped it with Romano Cheese.  So good!!!!
Night all.
