We have been on a real roll with this exceptional weather.
I had to put something in the grooming room and guess who was there.
Sophie and Lily at the same time.
They kept me company while I folded up 6 blankets.
Gar spent much of the day finishing up the trim on the house. He will be one happy camper when he can put away all his ladders.
After lunch I went out and dragged the indoor and the outdoor arena...with full intentions to ride this afternoon with Jill.
Then, I had the brainstorm to go for a bike ride.
Did about 4 miles or so and it was almost 80. When I got home I just wanted to take a nap.
So, Jill rode by herself and I started getting an early dinner together for Jen and the boys.
When they arrived, Finn and Coop just wanted to sack out.
Dinner was leftover meatloaf along with salad, peas and more noodles.
"If there are onions in that meatloaf, I'm not eating any."
Finn was just posing for me...didn't really stuff the whole thing in his mouth.
After dinner Gar and the kids went out and messed around in the arena before walking around the outside of the pastures on the path I keep mown.
The horses were very curious.
Tucked them in at 7.
Early couch time.
Night all.
Love the onion lament...have heard that from so many kids in our family, too. "chuckle"
ReplyDeleteCan't believe this weather...
I have to agree - this weather is unbelievable ! I'll take it that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThe tree's actually are turning beautiful fall colours here in southern Ohio. That normally doesn't happen, they just go brown and fall.
Beautiful pictures as always. When Brett and I first got married, he wouldn't eat anything with onions either. He's come a long way...
ReplyDeleteLove the new header.
ReplyDeleteLol! Poor onions... Love the weather! And the horses are so curious!
ReplyDeleteSome of my brood wouldn't eat onions either and my son when he was little wouldn't eat anything green.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been gorgeous here too, a little hot though. I managed a few rides and a walk. Love your pictures. The house looks great.
The house looks really gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAll the animals are looking so fine: the horses, Sophie & Lily (a nice pair), Gucci and Pucci . .and the newly-painted house is also looking so fine, as is the food and the grandchildren and those maple leaves. It's peak color here now - just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe "onion in that meatloaf" made me laugh out loud! And, I think your black and white cat lives a double life here on our farm in Iowa. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the top 50! Must be nice to have that warm weather! In the 50s here. Gary's paint job is looking fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI feel that way about onions too...
ReplyDeleteWe've had really nice weather here too--Even today with the overcast, it's still a nice day--Glad I called in sick to work! ;-)
I can empathize with Gar. We have ladders to the south of us, ladders to the west of us and I think we still have one on the north side of the house! Not to mention one I carried down to the barn and haven't brought back, yet! We still have some trim to put a first coat on and then a second coat on most of the house. Yuck!
ReplyDeleteHey... we had left-over meatloaf last night, too! Yup... our's had onions; sorry Coop!
