A DEPARTURE...

 Up and at 'um.
Not only was it a beautiful morning, the whole day was gorgeous.
We had five face cords of wood delivered yesterday...today Gary started stacking it.
In the meantime, the ponies were off and running after they ate their grain.

In my neighbors back yard....the twinsiebobs....Sidney and Lily.  I had not seen Lily in days.
My dining room rug is still hanging on the picket fence...should be dry by now.

Gary had Welcome Center duty and I had drumming at the farm.  Too hot on the Studio deck (80 today) so we picked a shady spot.  The chairs kept sinking into the ground.

Deb invited some friends out to work with us today.
Drumming with a Caribbean flair.
 Totally different from African drumming.
 A very talented group...

 We drummed 'til 5.
After everyone left, I managed to pull together a dinner.
Check out the size of this tomato....

Went out to put the ponies in after we ate.
When I was picking the pasture I found this huge mushroom...the size of a small cantaloupe.
Tucked those babies in and am ready to put my feet up.
Night all.

Those roaming kitties...glad to see them home...Sid sitting on your fence.

That's a lot of wood to stack...imagine splitting it!

  3. Hi Lori, I enjoyed being "back on the farm" with you! (Wonders of modern technology) I've been away in South Africa and still getting back into visiting blogs. I loved your Caribean drummers. Very talented indeed. And what huge tomatoes and mushrooms you have on the farm! Blessings Jo

  5. I thought that first tomato was a pumpkin! You've always got something interesting for us to see.
