A BELATED SKYWATCH....

It was quite foggy this morning.  Nice for picture taking, if I only had my other camera with me.

After chores I brought Masterpiece in to resoak his foot and wrap it.  He must have rolled and was filthy.  How he gets up is beyond me.  In the video you can get a good sense of his blown up knee and the way he wears off his toe dragging it.  I must say, that he was moving much better today.  Now I just have to keep his foot nice and clean.

Looks a little distorted, but it works.
Much to my amazement, the glasses I ordered yesterday were ready today.  Went down to pick them up and stopped at Subway on the way home.  Saw Joe M. there and he asked me where my camera was...of course I had to take his picture (on the left).
Cut down a bunch of weeds by the back stone wall and mowed the big pasture.  Making progress with a lot to go.  This barn tour is pushing our buttons.
Gary painted windows today.  While he continued to do that, I drove out to the lake for a picnic that is put on by the Teachers Association the first Friday after school starts.  It's held in a beautiful shelter at Hamlin Beach, and retired teachers are invited.

It was good to see Paula (fellow art teacher) and Paula (retired English teacher).
As usual, the turnout was very good.  Nice to catch up with some people that I don't normally run into.

And now for my belated SkyWatch pictures....

Night all.

  3. Hi Lori, As always, beautiful pictures!! I see you're still having trouble with feet and I have to tell you that I'm having trouble also. My friends haflinger is gimpy like she has an abcess. Sometimes it appears in the front and sometimes it's in the back. What's concerning me is that if I leave her inside, it clears up. I'm not wondering if there's something in the grass or a weed that has sprouted up and is causing this in the horses. And I hate like crazy to call a vet out, my farrier is due to come out at the end of the month. I've never had so much trouble before but I have two of my girls with grazing muzzles on because of the grass and now this....things that make me go hmmmm. Horse show at my place at 10 o'clock this morning! I should have sent you the info. Open fun show with driving in the morning and riding/lead line/games in the afternoon. 16451 Powerline Rd if you get the chance! My mentor is judging this show and I can't wait for the fun to start!!! Ciao!
