It was a beautiful morning....
Look who was talking to me from the back pasture....
Sophie.
I was doing fine until I got down to the Peddler's Market.
Jean brought me a card rack that matched hers...everything was set up beautifully in the Art Tent.
Mary Pat had beautiful woven mats.
Nancy brought a table full of her paintings.
Fritch had two cases of pottery.
Alice had clay bead necklaces and knit bags...
Brenda and Al had their carvings and watercolors.
Deb walked Molly over.
Topper arrived, camera in hand.
We did our picture taking thing, then Carol arrived.
We got to see many of our friends and the Art Tent seemed to be a great idea.
Too bad I felt like crap...light headed. Was it my new glasses or what?
Thought some food might help. Judy made vegetarian chili and corn bread. Outstanding.
Perfect weather and a nice turnout. Wish I had felt better.
Determined to go to drumming, I drove over to Hartwell. Dropped off some veggies for Khalid....
Sat down in the studio...
and just could not stick it out. Drove home and went straight to bed.
Got up and went out at 5 to do chores.
Jenny came up to help and groomed Masterpiece. He was not doing that well tonight. I'm worried.
Picked more veggies for Brenda and Al. Gar drove them over along with some pie and a book.
Al just got back home from the hospital today and we have to take good care of him.
Brenda sent this home with Gary! It's a painting of Berlin that she did some time ago. What did I do to deserve this???? I'll take a better picture tomorrow in some good light. At any rate, it is much appreciated and beyond generous. Thank you. Thank you.
Sophie is really hangin out in public today. She was on the barn porch earlier and was not intimidated by the dogs. Even went into the barn with me.
I sure hope a good night's sleep straightens me out.
Night all.
Hey, you gotta feel better! Wonder what's got you?
ReplyDeleteThe Art Tent looked GREAT and sure love that painting you received as a gift - how beautiful is that?!
Such a beautiful day, fabulous painting of Berlin....sure hope you feel better tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better tomorrow too. Our nice days are numbered at this point in the season. That painting is beautiful =)
ReplyDeleteOh Lori, I'm so sorry you're feeling poorly. Wish I could come over and do the chores for you. I'm hoping the big guy perks up soon too.
ReplyDeleteI bet the whole fair was a lot of fun. Wish you could have enjoyed it more. I hope your art tent did well. I didn't even connect your Sophie can when we named our dear (RIP) Sophie. Must have been in the back of my mind though! Does Topper have a blog? He seems to take a lot of photos, too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteRegarding our converstation, I hope I did not come off as a totally ignorant horse person regarding riding. I sure need a teacher, I think the horses may be fine, the fault lies in me.
I hope you feel better tomorrow -- and that Masterpiece is doing better also.
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, the dogs do come in the house -- especially when there is thunder.
Be well, dear friend
