For some reason I keep waking up before 6am.
This morning it was a little foggy.
The Snow on the Mountain plants are absolutely out of control in the back yard. So tall this year.
Bermuda has been coming out on the porch more and more when I feed the cats.
Out to the barn early.
No problem getting chores done.
Even tho she has only been here a week, I think Belle has started to gain some weight. She was pretty ribby when she arrived.
Abbe is ready to be on the same side of the fence with her.
Gary finished painting his chair today.
I moved my old imac out to the Studio Barn and the kids were making good use of it. Daniela wrote a short story.
Finn and Coop were using a painting program.
The four kids were setting up the Studio Barn for an overnight.
I had put a new deck of cards out there so they played a little "war."
I almost forgot to go to my hair appointment. Too busy. Got there 10 minutes late.
There were beautiful flowers outside the door.
Meanwhile back at the farm the kids were still messing around on the computer.
It was getting late, and I still had to make dinner. Ariana was kind enough to make Johnny Cake muffins.
I put some meatloaf in the oven and went out to do chores.
Had to hurry. A concert in the village tonight at 7.
Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn, a salad and Johnny Cake. Took a fast shower and was in Brockport by 7:15. Jenny taxied all the kids.
The band was Brothers from other Mothers featuring Miles Watts. They have played at our barn in the past and we have known Miles since he was about 3 years old.
It was the first night of the local sidewalk sale and the kids were doing some chalk drawing on the street.
A fair number of people showed up. Wish I had brought a chair.
Home a little before 9 and finished setting up the Studio Barn.
Wall to wall....
more cards...
Time to get some sleep. I hope Jenny survives this gig.
Finn may get his stitches out tomorrow morning. That would be nice.
Night all.
Maybe you are having sympathy jet lag waking up so early... I love that picture of the fog and the last picture made me smile. It reminds of my kids and their cousins camped out when they were small.
ReplyDeleteThe perfect day!!
ReplyDeleteNo rain for you, either, huh? Man, we really could use some. I'm so glad that you are getting such a good chance to enjoy the kids.
ReplyDeleteThe days are beautiful but waking up before 6 a.m. ! How courageous !
ReplyDeleteThe children have nice holidays, they will have nice memories.
See you soon
