Gary and Daniela left bright and early for yoga.
Ariana and I went out to do chores.
The horses were in long before the stalls were cleaned. Another scorcher.
How these flowers continue to survive, I will never know.
The girls wanted to sit tight today. No pool....nothin'. Mid afternoon I got them to go down to the village with me so I could get Daniela a bead for her birthday (Ariana made out pretty well too).
I don't know about you, but I'm pretty hooked on these bracelets.
I got the beads at Country Treasures.
As per usual, Main Street was still full of detours and we had to go home the long way.
Home a little after 4 and the girls had to get ready to go to a soccer game in Rochester. It was a major homecoming for Abby Wambach (who is from Pittsford). She just got back from the Women's World Cup in Germany and we watched her on Letterman last night. A big event in this neck of the woods. Thank you Kevin for getting tickets in the shade! More details in the article below.
I really did not want to be outside today and dragged myself out to do evening chores.
Did not put the horses in at their usual time...still in the high 80s around 10pm. Hoping it will cool off a little more.
Gary and I went down to the Golden Eagle for some Chicken Souvlaki. It's served with pilaf, a greek salad with feta cheese and pita bread. Pretty darn good.
Tonight Gar is going to pick up Stephanie and Joe at the Buffalo airport. Same flight the girls took.
They are going to be very happy to see each other.
Night all.
You've made me crave Souvlaki and a Greek salad! Hope your weather cools off soon.
ReplyDeletesmiles, horses & beads. YEAH!

80+ at 10:00pm??! Yuck!!!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers! Awesome.
ReplyDeleteI cannot imagine it being so hot that I'd want to stay indoors. I mean, I might not want to work in it, but I'd sure like to sit and sweat in it. We spend so many, many months cold that if I have the chance to just sit and swelter, I'll do it.
ReplyDeleteBut...since you aren't groovin' on the heat I'm glad that you had tickets in the shade as well. :)
Our weather certainly is one extreme or another. Freezing winters and hot humid summers...thank goodness for the wonderful people!
ReplyDeleteGreat beads...lucky girls.
Souvlaki!! Got to try that next!
ReplyDeleteThe beads look like fun. I have a terrible time in a bead store... too many choices! I end up with far too many beads and far too many project ideas!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun day!
I took out some chicken breast to defrost but changed my mind and phoned Cules to get us some ribs and chips at Steers instead as I am to lazy to make dinner. Tommorow I shall try to make chicken slouvaki (have no idea what it is),but will Google it! It is winter here so cold inside the house but hot when working outside!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, phooey, it's freezing here. I'll take some of your heat.
ReplyDeleteLove the bead bracelets. Keep cool.
Mmm, mm, that souvaki looks yum. And it's baking hot here, too . . .baking!
