Blue skies again...but very crisp.
The first order of business was shoveling. Yes, we got more snow.
My brain was in a better place with all that sunshine.
The wind kicked up and the temperature had to be near zero...
...and the ponies toughed it out all day (smart enough to go in the indoor for awhile).
I've been feeding a lot of extra hay.
At 11:30, took my car down for an oil change and made a quick stop at Wegmans. After lunch, class arrived.
I think Phoebe and Gucci know when it is Tuesday and can't wait for Tina to get here.
In the late afternoon, the sun shines into our bedroom and makes it feel cozy. Sidney spent a couple of hours sacked out on a chair.
L'orange Marmalade actually spent quite a bit of time in the house today and got some attention from (who else) Tina.
Mel finished his drawing of Rose and has now started on a huge Buck.
John worked on his watercolor.
Tina made another another section of her papier mache flower.
John also worked on a technique for painting leaves....before going back his other project.
I started on some rice pudding around 4, then drove down to the animal hospital to get some wormer for all the cats.
Picked up a movie and by the time I headed home the driving conditions were getting worse.
Barb had chore duty and the horses were put in a little early. Just too frigid with the wind.
I dug out leftovers from last night for dinner. Tasted great. While I watched the movie...Gary went for his favorite chair in the other room.
Then, it was kick back time for all the critters.
And that's all she wrote............................................... Night all.
Rice pudding! Man, I haven't had that in years. Sounds wonderful!! ...and I promise to do a blog tour of my kitchen one of these days.
ReplyDeleteyour banner is beautiful! Is that your painting Lori?
ReplyDelete& I'm so with you, the cold weather is much easier to bear with some sun in the sky.
Also, how cute is that last pic with the tongue hanging out?
I'm right with you--cold, snowy, with wind whipping snow all over the place. It's a good time to be inside by the fire with a good book.
ReplyDeleteLove that after snow sky.
ReplyDeleteAh, lots of life quality, as always!
ReplyDeleteA quiet day, but how cold !
ReplyDeleteHere, it seems the spring is coming : about 53 at midday.
The grass is growing. Soon it will be time to garden.

I like this picture much.
See you soon

My favorite part of this post is the way you managed to get 'rice pudding' and 'wormer' into the same sentence.
ReplyDeletehahahaha
Beautiful sunny morning shots! The ponies must be loving the sunshine, too!
ReplyDeleteWe woke up to negative 28 this morning...brrr! At least there is no wind. Seniors are blanketed and the wild mustang mama is closed into her stall with a heater-everyone seemed toasty and happy this morning!
Love see L'Orange becoming a house kitty!
Hope you stay warm out there!!
Xoxo

Gucci looks a little like Bumble in that last shot. I love seeing photos of your art class. Your mounds of snow are getting huge. We are supposed to get a few inches tonight and tomorrow. Stay warm.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit your cozy ranch and feel as if I have!
