WE ARE ON A SUNSHINE ROLL....

...and there will be no complaints from me.

All this, and I had not even gotten to the barn yet.

It sure is different having only 4 horses.

Gucci stuck it out with me while Phoebe was sacked out on the couch in the kitchen.

Seymour disappeared and Sidney popped in and out of the barn.

Just a brief whisper of snow and temps approaching 30.

I spent the afternoon looking for photographs that I can put on note cards.  Flowers, horses, architecture etc.  On Monday I will be going to the printer to have some made and may try to sell them at the local gallery (if Kathy will take them).  I got some sauerkraut going in the crockpot and went out to do chores at 5.  The light was gorgeous.

I was on the phone with my friend Madonna and she wondered if we wanted to go to her house for dinner.  Instead, I invited her up to the farm.  I was all set to make paninis for dinner.

We had roasted potatoes, carrots and onions.

The paninis....pastrami, swiss cheese, the sauerkraut and Russian dressing on seedless rye bread.

Madon brought a fabulous salad.

We ate like kings.

The meal ended with homemade cookies (Madonna is the baker, not me).

Are you hungry yet?  I'm stuffed and ready for a nap.
Night all.

  5. Your world is a good world, Lori, and I always feel happy after I visit it. I love the morning treat of a good sunrise and that light in the afternoon that gives the trees a golden glow. Only four horses in the barn? Who left?

  7. Beautiful pictures once again. You really capture the morning around your barn perfectly.

Those pannini's and cookies look yummy. I really shouldn't scroll down to your food section while I'm dieting!

  8. Lori - Sorry to learn about Pony and sorry I missed reading about it - Even at 31, I'm sure it was very hard for you. Your horses are truly blessed to be with you and get such loving care.

  11. Yay for sunshine! And, once again, your dinner looks awesome. I must say your salads, in particular, are inspiring. And you made Rueben paninis for dinner - my all time favorite sandwich.
