SLIM PICKINS....

This morning it was gorgeous again...about 31 degrees, but bright.

Barb (the ultimate) helps me get through morning chores every Saturday and Sunday morning.  They are not her days to do chores, but she is there anyway.  Cleaning stalls,  scrubbing water buckets and doing water, setting out hay, getting things set up for the evening...and more.  I'm telling you, there is not another person like her...  I'm sure it is out of the great love she has for King Mustafa.  He is her first horse and gets all of her attention.  She shares herself with my horses too...they know her well.  I am so thankful to have met her.

I had to spend some time cleaning the house, and then went down to pick up some grain.  There was a drum jam here today.

This is Chet.  Remember him....we call him the bread man.  Once again he brought us all a loaf of one of his favorites.  Cranberry orange with a sugar topping.  It was fantastic!

Today some of regulars were not here, but we had 5 new drummers!

Alice (above) is in our chorus.  Nancy brought along two young men that are her neighbors.

We usually take a break after we have played for an hour or so.  Today we had crackers, cheese and apples....cranberry orange bread, coffee, tea and a quiche!

We could not quit until we did a little more drumming....

Sid and Seymour were outside all day (again).  I did chores and they were ready to come in so they could chow and hang out by the fire....with me.

Wait til Sid finds out he is being neutered tomorrow!

It is supposed to be 60 degrees tomorrow!  Everyday without snow is a bonus.
Night all.

  1. Sounds like a fun day Lori. Beautiful shots around the barns. How beautiful that is. I bet the bread was de-lish and a fun get-together :)
