HURRY! HURRY!

So what else is new???

Before we went out to the barn, the sun was shining on Sidney in the kitchen.

Have you noticed that he is finally growing?  It will be awhile before he catches up with Seymour.  There are some sweet drawings and paintings of both on Wanda's Art Blog (click on link).

King Mustafa finishes his grain first and is ready to head out .  He not only has a big stall, he also has all that you can see in this photo.  I leave his gate open at night and he uses the entire space.

I hurried through chores, dragged both rings and by 10am I dropped Phoebe and Gucci off at the groomers.

They looked out the door as I was leaving...so I couldn't resist taking a picture.

I drove to the farm the back way.  Down the road from us is a friend's property...he has a shop there but lives in the village.  He must mow at least 15 acres...it's like a golf course...has a pond and hundreds of geese hang out there.

A friend, Peggy, brought her horse over a little before 11 so we could do some riding out back.  I was very happy to have someone to do this with me.

A bitless bridle today.  We started out like we were in a western pleasure class...long and low...pokey, quiet.

Brave Heart has never been here before and was just a little up.  After a few minutes in the ring we decided to go down the lane.  On the way out, Berlin continued to amble along.  On the way back she was jiggy and got herself into a good lather.  He was great!

Had lunch and went back to pick up the dogs.  Sherri introduced us to her new 11 week old puppy.  I have no doubt that she will be a first class agility dog.  Her dogs have competed at high levels very successfully.  There is an amazing training facility right there on her property.  In the past, she used my indoor to work her dogs...now she has her own.  They even dug a pond out near the agility course so the dogs could cool off.

I was going to pick some apples at Apple Creek Farm tomorrow, but we were going right by it and I decided to do it today.  The dogs ran around the orchard while I filled up a couple of bags.

These are Cortlands.

The pups looked great...and smelled so good.

Dogs are welcome at Once Imagined, so I thought "what the heck" and we stopped in.

These foot prints are at the entrance.

The picture below is a reflection in a mirror.

There are many for sale in this antique shop.

On the way home, Gucci liked looking out the window....

while Phoebe relaxed in the back seat.

Spent the rest of the afternoon mowing the lawn, and then went out to do chores.

The light was positively beautiful all day long.

Gary did a lot of work in the gardens this afternoon.  We are going to have a party later in the week and are trying to get things together.  It will be the "opening" of the Skoog Farm Workshop.

Now, I am going to go watch the rest of Dancing With the Stars....yep.  I love dancing.

Night all.

  2. Wasn't Jennifer Gray's dance wonderful. She looks great! And talking about looking great, Florence Henderson looks pretty darn good for 76. Of course, if we had all of the makeup artists and cosmetic surgeons available to us, we'd probably look pretty good at 76 also.

Like the looks of that Brave Heart. What's his breed?
