AFTERNOON TEA AT THE TALLEY HOMESTEAD...

I arrived at 2pm and started off with a nice cup of hot tea. We sat in the family room off the kitchen, overlooking the back forty...soaking up the heat from the pellet stove. Deb, who is one of my art students, will not be here for our art show on the 21st, so I went over to look at some of her work so we could decide what should be shown.

We started with the colored pencil drawings....

...soft and understated...great use of color.

Then we moved on to her paintings....

Unfortunately, the next photo is a bit fuzzy....but I wanted you to see it anyway. Quite a variety of styles.

As for the Homestead (which happens to be for sale)... I had the tour. It was built in the 1830s and is loaded with charm.

Join me....

This little table is in the family room off the kitchen...a perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Looking out back through the French doors.

A guest bedroom...downstairs.

This is what I call a beautiful piano...it belongs in my kitchen.

A Sitting Room....

The second bedroom...upstairs.

A classic Spinning Wheel.

The master bedroom.

The hall next to the stairway.

I did not post the fireplaces!!!! There is one in almost every room.

And here is the real head of the household.
